Saffron and dry fruits are among India's best-loved gifts. Ideas for every occasion, with simple ways to present them beautifully.

In India, a box of dry fruits says "we are thinking of you" in a way few gifts can, and a little Kashmiri saffron turns it into something truly special. Here are ideas for every occasion, and how to make your gift look as good as it tastes.
Gift ideas
- The saffron gift. A pack of Kashmiri Saffron is small, light and feels luxurious. Add a handwritten card with our kesar doodh recipe.
- The kahwa set. Saffron and Mamra almonds together, with a printed copy of our kahwa recipe: everything someone needs for a Kashmiri cup of welcome.
- The dry fruit hamper. Almonds, walnuts, green raisins and black raisins in one basket: a classic for Diwali and family visits.
- The homemade touch. A box of dry fruit ladoo made with good nuts and raisins is a gift people remember.
By occasion
- Diwali: dry fruit hampers and homemade sweets are traditional, and saffron adds a premium touch for close family.
- Weddings and shagun: saffron and Mamra almonds feel special and keep well, which matters when gifts are opened weeks later.
- Eid: pair dry fruits with saffron for festive sheer khurma and sewaiyan.
- Corporate gifts: choose things that keep well and travel easily. Saffron and nuts both do.
- Housewarmings and thank-yous: a single jar of almonds or walnuts with a kind note is plenty.
Presenting your gift
- Choose a simple base: a basket, a wooden tray or a plain cloth bag.
- Add colour: a strip of fabric, a few marigolds or a ribbon in saffron red.
- Include a note: a recipe card or a few lines about where the saffron comes from makes the gift personal.
- Add storage tips: a small card saying "keep cool, dry and airtight" helps the gift stay at its best. Our storage guide has the details.
